2. How do I get my airline ticket?
If you are attending a National Seminar, your ticket will be emailed to you. It is important that you take a copy of the ticket and check-in at the airport ticket counter. Be sure to bring your driver’s license or other photo ID and a credit card.
3. Can I attend a seminar if I have attended one in the past?
Providing you have not attended a seminar in the last two calendar years and if there is space available you will be considered for attendance.
4. Am I able to earn continuing Education Hours for this Seminar?
Some Educators have been able to use the seminars to meet other district requirements. Continuing Ed credits will be determined at the district level. For specific seminars please see the seminar information
5. How will I get to the hotel / campus / etc. and back to the airport once my .flight arrives?
If you are attending a 1-day seminar you will be responsible for getting to and from the seminar. If you are attending a national Seminar you will be informed of the transportation arrangements by the campus contact person.
6. What type of clothing should I plan to wear?
Attire is business casual and no shorts are allowed. Closed toed shoes are required at all campus events.
7. Who do I contact if I need to cancel my reservation?
For any changes or cancellations please call the seminar administrator.
8. If I know other Educators who would be interested in attending UTI seminars who should I contact?
Contact the UTI representative who visits your school so that he/she can contact the other Educator(s).
9. Can I arrive early and/or depart later than the scheduled seminar?
If you are attending a national Seminar you can arrive early or leave later, but you will be responsible for all extra costs associated with the extra days/nights.
10. Can I fly to the campus from my home and have my return flight to a different destination?
If you are attending a national Seminar, we will be able to accommodate reasonable travel requests, and pay the cost of round trip airfare. You will be responsible for paying the difference between the round trip airfare and your actual airfare.
11. Can I arrive later or leave earlier that the scheduled start / end dates of the seminar?
The information presented at the Seminar is very condensed. It is highly recommended that if you can’t arrive on time that you choose another seminar / date to attend.
12. Is there a deposit or fee that I need to pay to attend?
If you are attending a National Seminar all expenses for the Educator are paid for by UTI, Inc. for the scheduled dates of the seminars including airfare, hotel, and meals. If you are attending a Local Seminar UTI will provide any necessary training materials and lunch. All travel to local seminars is your own responsibility.
13. Will I be reimbursed for my gas expenses if I decide to drive to the seminar?
Airfare and shuttle to the hotel and campus is provided for attendees of the National Seminars. Attendees of the Local Seminars are responsible for their own travel expenses.
